What’s In Store For You In This Course?
Criminal Justice is about more than just what happens in court. It is about the entire holistic system, from crime prevention to police departments, (yes) the court system, prisons, parole and rehabilitation efforts. The following is the modules to be presented, which will be more fully fleshed out as we get closer to the class.
The mission of the Criminal Justice Course is to provide a thorough understanding of overall criminal justice system as it is taught in law school, but at a fraction of the time and cost of what law school costs today, and without the political correctness, critical race theory, or “diversity, inclusion, and equity” cultism that has so thoroughly infected modern law schools. We just do law, as traditionally taught, period.
We’re able to offer these law-school level courses to you at these amazingly low prices precisely because we don’t incur the cost of having them formally accredited, as would be required for a degree-offering program. If you are interested in an actual Juris Doctor (law degree), it would be necessary for you to attend an accredited law school with its attendant cost and time commitments.
That said—if you are seriously considering law school, taking our American Law Courses first would place you in an extremely advantageous position relative to your fellow students, who will be learning this material for the first time while earning their law school grades, while you will already have mastered it.

What Will You Learn In This Course?
Why Criminal Justice Matters
Learn the purpose of our system, what it's meant to provide to individuals and society, and how taking a holistic approach to it helps see the forest for what it is, isn't, and ought to be.
Crime & Crime Causation
How do we define what is 'illegal'? What is the purpose of making some things immoral but legal and others worthy of lengthy prison sentences. Why do people commit crimes? Our rather philosophical lesson will end on practical applications of the law to reach philosophical ends.
History & Organization of Policing
Police are a new thing. Relatively at least. The modern concept of a non-militaristic professional fighting force for domestic peace-keeping has been one of the most fundamental shifts of the modern age. Discover how we now view police work and how that has changed our domestic landscape.
Contemporary Issues & Challenges
America has some uniquely complicated issues that make our goal of a truly just system difficult to attain. We will discuss the miriad of issues that have arised in the modern era, how we have addressed them, and the solutions that we have yet to find today.
Courts & Adjudication
Felony trials are perhaps the most attention-grabbing and newsworthy aspect of our justice system, but they are really just a small part of our courts system. From adjudication, mediation, pre- and post- trial work and sentencing much more goes into a holistic grasp of our states and federal departments of justice.
Corrections, Incarceration & Prison Society
Our prison system houses more prisoners per capita than any other in the world, or, in fact, the whole of human history. Learn why, the unique struggles associated with mass incarceration, and what our government is trying to do to alleviate problems that have arised as the result, including Prison Society rules to prevent overcrowding.
Re-entry Into the Community
Probation requirements, halfway houses, forced therapy and sobriety. These are just a few of the systems we have in place to help prisoners readjust to living in our communities again. And yet recidivism rates are in the 90+ percentile for many major crimes. Why are we failing so miserably, and how can we both help future released prisoners and prevent more crime perpetration.
Juvenile Justice
We all accept that a small child must be treated differently from a hardened criminal. But where is the line drawn? At adulthood? What should the justice system look like for minors more generally? How are parents beholden to the actions of their children? Learned how our society has decided to answer all these questions and more.
